How to Grill a Pork Chop

Grilling season has arrived and I could not be more excited. I love utilizing the grill for meats and veggies because the flavors become smoky and delicious, and it's one of the healthiest methods of cooking! Pork chops happen to be one of my go-to weeknight dishes because they are easy and also super tasty. Whether you are using gas, charcoal, or an indoor grill pan, my method for grilling pork chops will have juicy chops on your plate with little effort at all! Light up the grill and get excited for a perfectly cooked chop any time of the year!

Things You\’ll Need

  • ½

    to 1" thick pork chops, (4)

  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary

Tip

Feel free to substitute any of your favorite flavors for the marinade.

Step 1: Marinate the Pork Chops

Combine all ingredients in a large plastic bag and marinate for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

Step 2: Preheat Grill.

Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat or about 350 degrees. If using charcoal, be careful to not get the coals too hot.

Tip

If charcoal grill gets too hot, simply move the pork chops to indirect heat to prevent over-cooking.

Step 3: Grill the Pork Chops

Grill the pork chops for 4 to 5 minutes on one side and then flip for an additional 3 minutes on the opposite side until the pork chops are cooked through.

Step 4: Let the Pork Rest

After removing the pork chops from the grill, let rest for 5 minutes until the juices have redistributed to ensure a juicy chop, and then serve immediately.
