A diorama is a three-dimensional model, like those sometimes found in museums. Dioramas can be full-sized, but often they are made in miniature scale by hobbyists to re-create battles or war scenes using plastic models of military vehicles and weapons. Simple dioramas have also become popular homework assignments for school-aged students. These dioramas are often constructed inside a simple box, and can recreate practically any scene including sports scenes like football.

Step 1
Measure the dimensions of the inside of the box with a tape measure; use the scissors to cut the green felt or cloth to size.
Step 2
Insert a glue stick into the hot glue gun and then apply glue to one side of the cloth. Place the cloth into the box, with the glued side down. The cloth represents the green turf of the football field.
Step 3
Construct goal posts with Popsicle sticks and glue. Glue the top of the main vertical stick to the top of the main horizontal stick. This will form a "T." Glue the upright posts to each end of the horizontal post.
Step 4
Paint the goal posts with yellow model glue and then place them on the side to dry.
Step 5
Rinse the paintbrush, and then use it to paint white hash marks on the football field.
Step 6
Purchase football figurines from either a hobby shop or toy store. If figurines are not available, use a utility blade to modify an army man. Cut weapons out of the hands of the army man. Paint the figures with the model paint.
Step 7
Apply glue to the bottom of the figurine bases and then set them into action poses.
Step 8
Place a small dab of putty in the center of each end zone and then use the putty to hold the field goal posts upright.
