#2013alive: Tackle Clutter and Get Organized in May

It’s the end of Find Your Bliss Month in our 12 Months of Wellness series. Now we look ahead to tackle clutter in our homes.

It’s the end of Find Your Bliss Month in our 12 Months of Wellness series. Did you find what you were looking for? Throughout the month we took several steps to find our bliss, including taking up childhood hobbies, finding a mentor to look up to, creating a vision board, and making a plan—all in the hopes of being one step closer to finding our true calling.

Now, we’re bringing the focus to our homes, and how to declutter and get organized. Research shows that we are happier and healthier when we live in a tidy environment. And it’s no surprise: think about the stress you feel when you wake up from a great sleep only to realize your home is a total disaster zone.

Throughout the month we will tackle several small projects aimed at creating a clutter-free, organized home. They are:

  • Tackle clutter bit by bit using the “four-box method”
  • Get the clutter out of sight—and mind
  • Create storage solutions
  • Reduce incoming clutter

Are you a clutterbug? Let us know which area of your home you’ll be tackling first by dropping us a line via blog or Facebook comments, or by using the Twitter hashtag #2013alive. While you’re at it, download our May Goal Sheet to track your progress.
