#2013alive: How Is Your First Week Going So Far?

Week 1 of #2013alive focuses on eating breakfast every day. How’s your week going?

Week 1 of alive’s 12 Months of Wellness is coming to a close in just a few days—how are you doing so far on your goal to eat a balanced breakfast every day? An alive story: Amy
Of course, here at alive we’re taking part as well, and we’ll be posting some personal stories of how some of us around the office are doing.

This week, my fellow editor Amy is sharing her story. Her mom gave her a new juicer for Christmas, so she’s been incorporating freshly squeezed juice into her breakfast of a whole grain bagel with organic cream cheese. “It’s a bit more work in the morning to chop up fruits and veggies and then clean the juicer, but it’s been great to start the day with fresh juice.” Want to try juicing like Amy? Try out this tangy blend that she had yesterday:

  • grapefruit
  • orange
  • carrot
  • lemon
  • ginger

Stay tuned for next week, which focuses on cutting out some of the worst dietary offenders: trans fats and soft drinks.
